Kid’s Choice Awards 2014

Working in digital advertising has given me an opportunity to work on some cool stuff, but it’s not always a breeze – sometimes you have to make tight deadlines and work hard hours to get the job done. Then there are times when you get to animate a frozen image of Mark Whalberg.

The 2014 Kid’s Choice Awards campaign gave me an opportunity to design a campaign aimed at both children and adults, creating copy that simultaneously engaged grown-ups and delighted kids. Nickelodeon proved to be as fun a client as their brand suggests — they were game for however wild and weird we wanted our creative to be, so long as it spoke to youth and imagination. So yes, sometimes advertising is hard, but when you get to work on an ad that features a multicolored cat with glasses, you take those odds.
